2013 Broken Earth Limited Release Albariño
The warmer and drier climate of Paso Robles offers an alternate style of Albarino to that generally seen internationally. The wine has a generous palate weight and a great length of flavor while still retaining refreshing acidity. The varietal characteristics of peaches and apricots are also present and in fact, amplified by the warm days and long sunshine hours. Although this varietal represents just a small part of our vineyard, the Broken Earth Albarino receives ample attention as it provides the winemaking team a challenge to produce a contemporary take on a classic wine style. Our Albarino is a ‘Californian’ approach where classic characters are complemented by powerful fruit and great length. Pair with Citrus Shrimp Ceviche Stuffed Avocados
